For the Wuppertal Institute, the PigNPlay project offers an excellent opportunity to apply the Living Lab approach in the field of agriculture. Our strong focus on target groups also provides an ideal starting point for generating a high level of fit and acceptance among the users of the serious game". - Dr. Franziska Stelzer, Sustainable Production and Consumption, Wuppertal Institute.
Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy
Exploring business models for climate-neutral and resource-light agriculture in co-creation.

The Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy (WI) will conduct a co-creation business model workshop together with participants of the game (e.g. farmers) and other experts. The aim of the workshop is to consolidate the knowledge gained in the game for a climate-neutral and resource-saving economy and to explore creative ideas for new business models and farm-specific implementation options. Corresponding ideas should be testable in farm practice, e.g. to strengthen and/or close local and regional cycles. Furthermore, the workshop will discuss barriers to farm conversion and strategies to strengthen self-efficacy. These are strategies that increase the belief that the challenge can be overcome through one's own actions. In the workshop, a systematic sustainability orientation of the ideas is ensured - among others through methods such as Human Centred Design and Sustainable Business Canvas.
