Wissenschaftliche Qualifizierung (auf Englisch): "Data Analysis and Interpretation in Developmental Psychology"
Zielgruppe
Promovierende (R1)
(if places are still available, all members and affiliates of the University of Vechta can participate)
Inhalte und Ziele
Research in developmental psychology relies on rigorous methodological approaches to study human development across the lifespan. Understanding how research designs shape findings, how data are collected and analyzed, and how results can be interpreted in relation to psychological theories is crucial for conducting high-quality research.
This course consists of two full-day workshops, each focusing on a key aspect of developmental psychology research. Participation in both workshops is recommended, but it is also possible to attend only one.
The second workshop, “Data Analysis and Interpretation in Developmental Psychology”, focuses on statistical techniques for analyzing developmental data, working with simulated datasets, and linking research findings to established psychological theories. Participants will engage in practical data analysis exercises, interpret statistical results, and learn how to communicate their findings effectively through visualizations and written summaries.
Throughout both workshops, participants will have the opportunity to discuss their own research projects, receive peer feedback, and apply theoretical knowledge to real-world research scenarios.
