The Universidad Nacional de Cuyo in Mendoza is located in central western Argentina.

Porto Alegre, the capital of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, is one of the largest cities in Brazil with approximately 1,400,000 inhabitants. Our partner university Pontifícia Universidade Católica doRio Grande do Sul (PUCRS) is located here.

Due to the Brazilian study structures, the exchange programme offers the possibility to combine studies and internship/placement abroad in only one semester. This way, you can get to know Brazilian academic life, but also, especially through the internship/placement, immerse yourself in Brazilian culture. Caipirinha and sunshine make you feel the Brazilians’ incredible joy of life, but you will soon realise that the country has much more to offer!

• Only for students of the Bachelor Social Work and the Master Social Work

The application deadlines are as follows:

• 1 May for the start of the semester in August
• 1 December for the beginning of the semester in March

The Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Minas Gerais (PUC Minas) is a Catholic university in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. It was founded on 12 December 1958. PUC Minas offers courses and training programmes at various levels of secondary and tertiary education. Approximately 63,500 students are enrolled at the PUC.

The city of João Pessoa in the state of Paraíba has about 600,000 inhabitants. Among other things, the state university “Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB)” is located here.

The Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC) is a Brazilian federal university with a campus in several cities. The campus of our partner university is located in the city of Fortaleza. The campus in Fortaleza is divided into three parts: Campus do Pici (various science and technology areas), Campus do Benfica (humanities, economics and law) and Campus do Porangabussu (medicine). The Campus do Sobral (computer engineering, electrical engineering, finance, economics, dentistry, psychology and music education) is a new addition. The Universidade Federal do Ceará was founded by the Brazilian federal government. It reports to the Ministry of Education.

The Universidad Técnica del Norte is a relatively young state institution. It was founded in 1986 and now has more than 7,000 students. The range of subjects offered by the five faculties in the fields of Engineering in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences; Education, Science & Technology; Health Sciences; Engineering & Applied Sciences; and Economics and Administrative Sciences is primarily oriented towards the needs of the country, in particular those of the northern province of the country.

As part of the cooperation between the Universidad Técnica del Norte and the University of Vechta, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) provides financial support for students from the University of Vechta for the project “Education for Sustainable Development Goals – Capacity Building for Educators” (2021-2024).

This includes payment of flight costs (up to EUR 1,200) and a monthly travel allowance of EUR 500 for a maximum of five months.

Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla is a public university in Puebla, Mexico. As a renowned Mexican university, it offers its students not only good studying and research conditions, but also a diverse cultural programme. The university was founded in 1587 as the Colegio del Espiritu Santo and renamed Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla in 1937. About 65,000 students are currently studying here.
BUAP has four campuses in Puebla: Centro Histórico, Salud, Ciudad Universitaria and Angelópolis. The administrative facilities are all located on the campus Centro Histórico in the city centre. Puebla (approx. 1.4 million inhabitants) is located at an altitude of about 2,000 m in Central Mexico and is about 1.5 hours from Mexico City. In 1987, the old town was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) is a public university in Mexico founded in 1974 by the then President Luis Echeverría Álvarez.

The university was established in a decentralised manner at the locations Azcapotzalco, Iztapalapa and Xochimilco. Later on, another unit was opened in Cuajimalpa.

The university’s symbol is a black panther, which is also used by the football team in the Mexican league.

Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) in Mexico City was the first university in the country and is one of the largest universities in the Americas with over 300,000 students. UNAM is even one of the largest universities in the world, not only in terms of student numbers, but also in terms of the surface area. There are several museums, theatres, cinemas, an Olympic stadium and a separate bus system on the site. The centrally located university campus has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2007.

The university was founded in 2005 and belongs to the association of Catholic universities in Mexico. These are supported by the organization Regnum Christi and the so-called Legionaries of Christ. 

The Universidad Anáhuac de Querétaro is a private but state-approved university.
