Project description:
The aim of the three-year Erasmus+ project “ESD:SuperVision 4.0” is to implement Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in school curricula. On the one hand, this involves networking within the participating regions and marketing to make ESD and school development visible. For the project, teacher trainers and school staff are to be trained to implement an ESD-focused school development plan. This is done through the adaptation, development, transfer and evaluation of competence-oriented methods (tool set). The project is essentially based on results and findings that were developed in the predecessor project MetESD by the University of Vechta together with its partner organizations from 2015 to 2018. The focus is on the implementation, reflection and review of school and curriculum development with regard to a holistic ESD approach.
One condition for success is the development of an ombudsman system for regional, national and Europe-wide education policy.
Universities and schools from Scotland, the Czech Republic, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania and Germany, including IGS Oyten, are involved in this joint project under the leadership of the University of Vechta (University Didactics, Prof. Dr. Marco Rieckmann, Lukas Scherak and General Pedagogy, Prof. Dr. Margit Stein, Detlev Lindau-Bank).
