Department of Research Development and Knowledge Transfer

The department informs, supports and advises researchers of the University of Vechta on all applications to research-funding and -financing institutions and companies. It coordinates and connects research initiatives, projects and the administrative management of externally funded projects within the university.

The services of the Department of Research Development and Knowledge Transfer (RFW) for researchers also include:

  • the university’s research reports (in German; some of which are also available in print)

The Transfer Office offers all stakeholders information on the research and cooperation potential of the University of Vechta on a regional, national and international level.

Nearest parking spaces: next to building E and behind building R

Public transport: Regional trains of the NordWestBahn go from Bremen Hbf. (Hauptbahnhof, main station) or Osnabrück Hbf. to Vechta (timetable route number 394) every hour, which takes approx. 60 minutes each.

Arrival of trains from Osnabrück at 28 minutes past every full hour during the day and from Bremen at 24 minutes past every full hour (off-peak times/nights/holidays differ). 

Departure of trains to Osnabrück during the day at 29 minutes past every full hour and to Bremen at 31 minutes past every full hour. The bus line 602 departs from the bus stop Universität at 10 minutes past every full hour (first departure 7.10am, last 7.10pm) so that you can reach the train on time (the trip takes 8 minutes; arrival of the bus at the station/ZOB (Zentraler Omnibus-Bahnhof, central bus station) at 18 minutes past every full hour).
