EURAXESS is a pan-European initiative supported by the EU Commission that promotes the international mobility of researchers. On its website you can find lots of information about working and living in Germany, as well as in other EU and partner countries. For instance, you can find information on visa, health insurance, taxes, recognition of diplomas, etc. (in the "information and assistance" section), in order to plan your stay in Germany. But also as a German citizen or a resident in Germany, you can find information on how to prepare for research stays abroad.
In the section "Jobs and Funding" you can search for research positions, funding opportunities or guest institutions for developing your research. EURAXESS collects positions in various academic and non-academic institutions in the EU and other partner countries (including Germany) that are currently looking for researchers. That means that you can also find positions in international organizations or in private companies and start-ups. Moreover, members of the University of Vechta may publish their job postings on the EURAXESS job portal for free.
EURAXESS is also a network of many different EURAXESS centres, usually welcome centres for international researchers of universities or research institutions. The Welcome Centre of the University of Vechta represents the university in the network. This means that members of the University of Vechta can profit from the various resources that EURAXESS has to offer.
