The University's Advisory Facilities
The University of Vechta offers several you can use to effectively and successfully organize your studies.
The first place students go to when they have question is the Service Point in the R-Building. You can contact them via telephone at 04441/15-373 or via email : firstname.lastname@example.org.
Office Hours (during the semester break as well):
Monday til Thursday from 10 am til 4 pm
Friday from 10 am til 2 pm
Furthermore, you can find more information about studying at the Advisory Services (e.g. Academic Examination Office, Career Service, Registration Office, Internship Office, Psychosocial Advisory Service).
Central Course Counselling Service
The Central Course Counselling Service deals with general questions and problems during your studies and helps with personal problems with regard to studying.

The university's library is first and foremost a provider of literature for everyone at university. They obtain and provide books, magazines, electronic resources and mediums that are needed for research, teaching and studying.
You can get a library card (issuing fee: € 5,00) in the library. If you want to register you have to bring your ID and as a student of the University of Vechta your student ID.

The Computer Centre (Kommunikations- und Informationszentrum (KIZ)) is a central facility at the University of Vechta. They are responsible for planning, developement, administration and running of the university-wide data processing systems, communication systems and information systems as well as multimedia-technology. Furthermore, the Computer Centre ensures the university's connection to the internet and the research network.
Student Union University of Vechta
The Student Union is the acting committee of the students. Its job is to manage the business of the students and represent their interests inside and outside of the university. The Student Union supports student activities like faculty councils or student parties by passing the budget in the student parliament.
If you have any sorrows, problems or questions regarding your studies, you can come to the Student Union's Office. Furthermore, the Student Union issues international student IDs.
