Application by 30 September

Apply by 30 September. An earlier deadline (15 July - might be postponed due to the coronavirus) only applies to the degree programmes with restricted admission (Bachelor Social Work, as well as German Studies, Natural and Social Sciences as Interdisciplinary School Subject (“Sachunterricht”) and Mathematics in the Bachelor Combined Studies). For Physical Education/Sports Science, English Studies, Design Pedagogy and Music Education, please observe the dates of the aptitude tests.

Please apply directly via the application portal of the university (i.e., not via Uni-Assist).

Here, you can find more information on the Opens internal link in current windowBachelor and Master studies, the Opens internal link in current windowadaptation period for international teachers and the Opens internal link in current windowapplication procedure.

Good prospects for a place at university

Most degree programmes are admission-free so that all applicants who meet the requirements obtain a place at university.

In recent years, all international applicants from non-EU countries who applied for degree programmes with restricted admission have also been able to obtain a place (regardless of their grades), since the university reserves a fixed contingent of places for these international students.

Language certificate and conditional admission

If you cannot yet provide the required language certificate, but you have advanced language skills, it may be possible (on a case-by-case basis) to be admitted on condition that you provide the required proof of your language skills at a later date.

If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Frauke Schumacher (Opens window for sending emailfrauke.schumacher[at]uni-vechta[dot]de).

Preliminary examination of the application documents

Are you unsure whether your school certificate will be recognised for a Bachelor’s degree programme (or whether your Bachelor’s degree will be recognised for a Master’s degree programme) in Germany?

We are happy to check your certificates in advance. Please contact Dr. Frauke Schumacher (frauke.schumacher[at]uni-vechta[dot]de) in cases like this.
