The Gerontology in Vechta is connected with institutions of various countries. Amongst others, these countries are Tanzania, Austria, Sweden and the Netherlands.
With our partner universities, we enjoy very close relations. This enables students, PHD-students and lecturers to practice collaboration and mutual exchange, such as a study term or an internship in Tanzania. The concept of a "mobility window" in the gerontological course of study specifically supports a semester abroad.
In general, students have the possibility to either study or intern in Tanzania. Suitable time frames can be chosen. A combination of study and internship abroad is possible to a certain extent as well. If you are interested in spending time abroad in Tanzania, click here to find further information.

For a semester abroad in the Netherlands, the Christelijke Hogeschool Windesheim offers a broad range of studies. Students furthermore have the possibility to partake in the minor programme “Addiction Studies” in order to acquire knowledge on the topic as well as gather practical experience. The programme was developed in close cooperation with regional and international institutes specialised on the treatment and support of addicts.
