Conferences at the Institute for Gerontology

The Institute for Gerontology regularly organises annual conferences, symposia and summer schools. The events represent central panels for discussing research results with colleagues, obtaining information on current studies and exchanging new findings. They provide an opportunity to meet in person other experts of one's own or a related field of research.

Gerontology is an interdisciplinary subject, so our courses are not limited to one academic discipline. Conferences are often planned and organised jointly with external research institutions and the events are carried out in cooperation with these partners. We can look back on many successful conferences and academic events and, at the same time, we are already working on the conception of future meetings that are interesting and relevant for gerontological research.
